1. SEO:
The first way to get massive traffic to your website/blog is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) .
In fact, this is the best for all website/blog online. If you actually setup your SEO very well and your website/blog is in the first page in Google front page, you'll definitely get a lot of massive traffic if people search for that keywords in Google your website will be at first page. Good SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the first thing for all bloggers to setup for their website/blog. WordPress Users don't have a lot of stress in setting up SEO for their website/blog with the help of Yoast plugin and Rank Math plugin and many other WordPress plugin for SEO.
2. SOCIAL MEDIA SHARING:
It's a good idea to share your website posts to social media. Sharing your website/blog URL in social media is good and can bring you a lot of traffic. The first thing is to setup your website/blog to automatically share itself after it's published. I'll advice all beginners to create Facebook page for their website/blog. Make sure your Facebook page has at least 1,000 likes and input your website URL in the description area and also give the page the name of your blog/domain. Do that to Twitter page also.
WordPress users can do auto share with a plugin called "Jetpack". But as for those using blogspot, you can go to this site http://ifttt.com and Sign up. After signing up, then connect your blogspot blog with your Facebook/Twitter page and it will automatically share your website/blog to your Facebook/Twitter page immediately you published a new post. Even you can do that auto share with ifttt.com with many popular social media.
You can also tell a friend of yours to help you to share your website post URL. But before sharing on social media, make sure it's a post that people will love to read.
3. FORUM SITE SHARING:
It's nice to share your website/blog post to some forum site. I shared some of my posts to forum site for more viewers. I've recently used this method to move my Alexa rank from #16 Million to #10 Million. This particular Forum site sharing can bring you two different benefits for your website/blog. Firstly, this can bring more viewers/traffic to your website/blog. Secondly, this can increase your website/blog backlinks. A good backlinks can also make your website to have a lot of traffic. A backlinks means your website domain/URL in another website/blog page. That's interesting, you can get massive traffic from this method. But before sharing your website post/URL in a forum site, firstly checked if the forum site allow sharing of links. Some forum site don't allow sharing of links and they called it "spamming".

Even 9jaflaver.com as once used Nairaland to increase their viewers/traffic and today, 9jaflaver as become one of the most popular blog in Nigeria/Africa. Entclassblog.com as also did this as well. So forum sharing is a good idea.

Promoting your website/blog is even the best in getting massive traffic to ones website. It's 100% sure that your website will drive more traffic after promoting it. I'll say this is the best way to get more traffic and viewers because it's 100% sure that your website/blog will get more traffic if you can use popular social media or blog for the promoting and you'll have to pay them. Why did I said it's the best for getting massive traffic? It's because if you can pay Facebook/Twitter for promoting your website/blog. Do you know over 2 billion of people are using Facebook? Now think of it, if your website/blog reached almost 50 million of people on Facebook. How many post/page views will your website/blog get?
Although, SEO is the best but as for me I'll choose to Promote my blog with Facebook or Twitter. Because, SEO only let your blog to be at the front page of Google/Bing search only if people can search for the keywords but promoting of ones website/blog will let your blog to have quick traffic rate.
